I wanted to share some of the things I've done in the past around the house! I was not fond of the red brick on our family room fireplace and decided to change it. After much research I found a product called Brick Anew ...it was easy and fun to do - give it a try if you are looking to change your brick! Here are the before and after photos...
One thing yet to do - I keep looking for an old mantle to add to the fireplace - one day I'll find the right one - I'll share that with you when I do...
so what do you think??? Looking for the good the bad and the ugly (?) feedback... Any suggestions on the mantle?

Your fireplace re-do makes everything else in the room just pop.
ReplyDeleteThat spruced it right up!!~ Nice job!!~
ReplyDeleteWow, what a difference! I too have a red brick fireplace that I don't like. I will have to look into the product!!
ReplyDeleteSome red bricks just aren't good. This product really changed the look of your fireplace. Should you paint the mantle white and distress it?
ReplyDeleteHi Brenda!
ReplyDeleteI love how the brick turned out -- it really softens the look and gives it a lovely aged look. Beautiful!
Where in VA are you? My brother and his wife moved last week to their little coop in an old building near the Fan in Richmond, but will be househunting in Tidewater area this spring.
I love Virginia. Welcome to blogging!

ReplyDeleteVignette design - I've considered that - Maybe I should go that route while I'm looking for a mantle!
